Relocating JK rear lower shock mounts

After the last offroad trip, my rear LCA'S and shock mounts are hammered. I would like to raise the shock mounting location a few inches, and weld in a skid/slide under both. There are a few kits available, but they seem overly complicated for a shock mount, though the shock mount is at an odd angle.

Has anyone done this? Advice on a simplified approach?

its a pretty easy process but time consuming....

I chopped off the whole lower control arm mount and shock mount, Then I set the vehicle at 100% full bump I had a 6" lift and was able to run a shock length that was made for 4" inch lift and using 100% of the shock travel I had more articulation in every way. Then I just welded on new lower control arm mounts so it was level with the bottom of the axle tube and never got hung up again and I lived happily ever after.... THE END

Nothing hung down below the axle tube once I was done and it was glorious
