Jeep Tub at NPS

Saw this at NPS today. Always something different there.

Nps' prices are so ridiculous anymore. Why pay near-full retail for something you have almost zero info on and is usually lightly damaged in one way or another.

With the trap door under the passenger seat that is an older CJ 5.

My Dad 1965 had one but my 77 didn't so I am not sure when the cut off was...

Maybe it was 1971 when they changed to the inline engine and changed from the 81" wheel base to the 83.5" wheel base but lengthening the front clip, or post 76 when they changed the frame and spring width...

random jeep trivia. I am kind a curious now...

Early 70's CJ5. The 60's had the filler neck for the fuel tank under the drivers seat, although that tub could be modified to work on the older ones

Thinking about it. You are right. Dads has a gas tank under the drivers seat and the tool box under the passenger seat.
