1-7-17 Snow Run

Met up with rubi_On_Rocks and DaveN at the chevron for some fun in the snow.
Proceeded over towards the Pony Express rd and took a trail along the Lakeside Mtn Range.
Looked like it had some recent snow since last week. A welcome site. Few inches of snow and some drifts.


Pretty good view of the valley below.


Once we got into the mtn range the snow got deeper.

It was good to see no tracks.

Alittle further in had some deep spots.
The first stuck. Hello tree !



I backed up and really got after it but.... the jeep didnt want to turn and had to slam on the brakes.
Hello other tree.
Made a full throttle run up the hill and made it to the top.



Made our way down the canyon and to the impassable hillclimb.
Turned right at the fork and towards the main road.


Going back up into the trail .


rubi_On_Rocks helped us find the trail going up to the canyon. It seemed to disappear with snow drifts. So he led for a bit.

Went south till we reached Soldiers pass rd. Then took the lake rd back to eagle mtn. Played in the snow for a bit and even got to pet some horses nearby. Im sure there will be more pics of that coming.

What a great day. Had a ton of fun.
