Death wobble

Hey peeps. I know I'm beating a dead horse but I need some guidance. I know there are a lot of variables but I was wondering. How do I find out which ball joins I have in my steering? I bought a custom set up a few years ago from a guy off here but can't remember his name. I do remember him saying they used GM 1 ton stuff. Any ideas of where to look first? The steering has a slight shake around 35 and progressively gets worse towards 50. A few weeks ago I drove to Sandy from Ogden on the freeway with no problem but after putting 2 33 inch tires in the back of my wrangler for the drive home it got really bad. I don't understand why the weight transfer would change steering. Please help

Have gun, will travel
On my TJ its consistently been a bad track bar when I develop death wobble. Control arm bushings contribute to it as well. Sounds like yours is a ways off from stock though so I don't know what if any OE style components you're still running.
Just my .02.

Do you have death wobble or just need the tires balanced? Slight vibration at speed that gets worse as your speed increases sounds like you need the tires balanced or maybe an alignment.

If you hit a bump or pot hole and the front end shakes violently that's death wobble. It's a oh shit moment until you slow down. It's caused by many different issues like worn track bar, etc.

It could be one of these;

Some of the Tie Rod Ends (TRE) can be purchased at any parts store, but the last time I bought them one or two of them are special order. Ruff Stuff is great, also partsmike.com is good for parts. Both are in CA, Ruff Stuff prides themselves on having parts on the shelf and shipping quickly. (checking my notes looks like ES2027L, and ES2026R is from any parts store, EX2234R and EX2234L is from parts mike, that is for my setup...)

The two ES ends you could find at autozone etc, then if they are not right you could return them.

Here is another link for you

There is a bigger GM TRE available, well the ball joint is the same size but the thread is bigger, so if the threaded part is very different size then you will have to do some more research.
