Totally Awesome
So I have a 700R4 and it had a NP205

I bought a NP241 because it had a slip yoke eliminated and better low range gearing.

I went to stick the new transfercase in last night. I can't get it pushed on all the way. I have about 1/2" to go. Granted I didn't try too hard because I was trying to bench press it into place and gasket kept falling off.

Is there a different adapter I need or is the output shaft too long? Or do I need to push it on harder?

Thanks

I remembered I had a set of dial calipers today as I was working on this transfer case. So I measured the input length and the output lengths. They are the same lengths. So everything is good. I think i just need to push it on harder.

Luckily I did some testing with the shifter linkage as well. When it was engaging low-range, the front output flange would contact the shift linkage. I little clearancing with the grinder, and it all clears.

Now I just need to bench press it into place again.
