Car tracking devices

Last night I bought a new car for my kids to drive to college, I want to be able to track where it is because I bought it and it is mine. I am looking into devices that plug into the OSB2 port and will give me driving reports so I can make sure it is not being abused. I don't want to pay any monthly fees or anything like that.

Anyone have experience with any thing?
