I deleted all the wiring that runs on the out side of fenders, smashed up all my seems and welded up all the holes, and cut out rockers for boat side.

I am going to stay with toyota axles until I can do 60's and 4 link. I am wanting to do a vortec 4.3 with an auto trans and dual toyota cases, but I think I am going to run the 22r on propane for now. I am looking into getting a got propane kit right now but I think I am going to wait until I can come up with some money.

looks like good progress almost a mod F-toy in a way, i got to ask though why go with a 4.3 chevy motor? They are very low rev engines and though they do make great torq down low seems like there is better canidates for a engine swap for what you want to do

I have been thinking, and I think I am just going to stay with the 22r on propane.

Not a bad option, you could also convert it to fuel injection or build a mega squirt stand alone system for it, they are good motors. If you do, down the road, decide to do a swap id suggest some thing that revs out a bit more, like most toyota V6's. Light weight is power and too much power just breaks parts more, so you just have to find the right balance. You've lost some weight already which is could with gearing and your 22r it could be a great combo. i have built a very similar buggy out of my 91 4runner, chopped everyting and put a cage in. man il tell you what when i shed all that heavy body my very powerless 4runner became a tire smoker, keeping it light weight is way more benefical than adding horsepower in my opinion

I have been looking in to the propane conversion just because it will be the quickest and cheapest and right now that is what I need. I am still looking for a back seat if anyone has one and high steer.

I cut out my rear panel on a waterjet today looks like it is going to work perfect. I also sanded and painted the rest of the body.
