Fuel Gauge, Ohms & Fuel Cells

I'm ditching the factory gas tank in favor of a Fuel Cell in my Toyota. I'll be using the Jegs poly 'Pro Street' tank with a 0-90 Ohms Sending Unit, (Standard GM-type sender).

I'm wondering if anyone knows how many Ohms a factory Toyota Gas Guage operates at?

a quick googling came up with 17 Ohms Full 120 Ohms Empty for a stock sending unit.

can't you just splice in the stock wiring?

If you ran the original Toyota gauge and the GM sender, the guage would read backwards. So, you could splice in, but it would be bass-ackwards.

backwards wouldn't be all that bad..... Couldn't you flip flop the wires then? I understand it is an ohm thing but I have never researched.
Need to search por eh...
