Canyon Country 4x4 Club will be holding their Annual Spring Trail Ride in the Hog Canyon Trail System, 1 1/2 miles north of Kanab, UT on May 16 and 17.
There will be a total of 4 trails used during this event, three trails in Hog Canyon with a rating of 4 to 7 out of 10 and a scenic trail in the area with a rating of 2 or 3. Unfortunately, there will not be an extreme trail for this event but newer drivers; stock and mildly modified vehicles are encouraged to attend. These trail rides are family oriented and suitable for everyone. They will meet at the Hog Canyon kiosk on both days at 8:45 a.m. driver’s meeting at 9:00 a.m.
After the Saturday trail rides, there will be a BBQ (bring your own food) along with the fundraising drawing at Kanab Creek Ranchos Park,
1346 South Vermillion, Kanab. The fundraiser drawing is for an 8000 lb. winch and other great prizes. Ticket costs are one for $5.00 or five for $20.00. You DO NOT need to be present to win. The proceeds of this drawing will benefit Canyon Country’s Legal Defense Fund which currently is used for Canaan Mountain.
