I tried both ways.and it also did it with my hardtop and I know my hardtop wasn't tweaked. Those door surrounds were brand new in the packaging when I got them. As well as the top. I got it all from Bart. They had never been opened.

Going to try and do some updates on this as I prepare for Safari. I'll be going down on Tuesday. Running golden spike with some friends wednesday, Metal Masher with rr4w Thursday, arena Friday and trail tbd, Moab Rim with rr4w Saturday and go home Sunday. I have a lot to do ha ha. This build has been slacking cause I've been cleaning up my xj I inherited from my grandpa. It's an 89 with factory keyless entry, power window, locks and commandtrac. He's had it in the garage and used it for church since he ordered it from jeep. uploadfromtaptalk1393923848553.jpg

This week I removed my tire carrier bumper and put on a currie knock off. I'm going to run spareless most of the time with my viair pump and a plug kit. I will be fabing up a spare tire mount inside the cab tho for longer trips while retaining the back seat for my daughter ect..

Taken this week. Before with the tire carrier

After. Bumper swapped

I also snagged a cj7 tailgate that I'll be installing this week hopefully.

Thanks! Today I went and bought some steel for one of the projects. I also got my xj cup holders, cj7 tailgate hinges and seal in and my buddy gave me a best top wind jammer. Tomorrow I'll start fabing some stuff.

Sneak peak. I'm also building a removable spare tire mount behind the back seat for longer out of town trips and more nasty trails.

Ha ha it's on the trail usually 2 or more Saturdays a month. That's the only time it's driven tho.

So for safari I color matched my half doors finally.

I also painted all my fenders/armor and installed the new rear bumper. I also installed a cj7 tailgate and made a license plate mount and cb mount to cover up the factory tailgate hinge cutouts in my armor.

Friday I went to arches with my family and then the raffle. No luck this year.

Big Saturday we ran Moab Rim with rr4w

We also ran Hells Revenge, fins and things backwards at night, and a couple others while down there.
We had a great safari this year and I hope to get down there more thus summer as my schedule is getting better.

I have a lot of fixing on the jeep, the RE joints have about had it and I can't seem to go on a trip without breaking at least one grade 8 rear upper control arm bolt. So ill be swapping them all for Johnny joints, hopefully with bigger bolt diameter as well.

I also am planning on trying to paint the whole jeep this fall/winter. I want to paint it the new rock lobster red on the 2013 rubis. I need to look at cleaning up the original cut on my hood and order some of the Genright inner fenders as well before I do that.

Okay quick question, hopefully someone sees this and can help me.

The lights have gone out for my gauges and hvac controls. The gauges all work. All the exterior lights work. All the other small indicator lights (gas, high beams, check engine, turn signal arrows, ect..) work fine. The dimmer switch does dim the odometer and turns on the in cab lights.

I have checked all the fuses, relays. Swapped out fuses even tho they were good. Pulled the gauges out and made sure the plugs where connected good. Replaced the 5 dash lights with leds.

I have two guesses remaining.

I read with aftermarket radios, the orange/black wire for illumination with the stock radio isn't used. But if it isn't connected to something else, it can cause this problem. I assume it was done right tho cause I have had the same radio in there since I bought the jeep. Maybe I should pull it and see if it came apart?

My head light /turn signal switch has a short in the fog light. Just wiggling the stick will cause the fog lights to come on, without pulling the end of the stick out like normal.

Any thoughts or experience?
