Phase 3

Not exactly what I originally planned but it is something. I decided to instead of doing a SAS right away, I'm going to keep saving my money and run the IFS until it blows up. I got with a buddy of mine who is a Land Cruiser guy and he hooked me up with a set of front LC coils and I bought a set taco struts with leveling spacers.

After 1 squished finger and the help of Sliver's sawsal.

She is almost ready for her maiden voyage on Thanksgiving weekend. All that's left to do is change the rear shocks, add panhard drop, wheel spacers, and quick releases on both front and rear sway bars.

Speaking of sway bars, how important are they? Would it be bad if I were to remove the rear one?

Looking good
The rear sway bar can be removed/ disconnected to allow for more wheel travel, but you have to remember that when you are up to speed and negotiating city streets the body will roll/ sway more and could cause problems and result in a crash. But normal offroad putzin around locally should not be a problem.

Need some advise!! I got these tires on wheels off of KSL and I am going to run them on the runner. Should I leave them with the polished aluminum look or have them powder coated black?

I took my sway bar off the rear when i lifted it it was the best thing i ever did it roade so much better and didnt feel tippsy or anything like that. Now when i took off the front that was tippsy so id ditch the rear and make quick disconnects for the front it frees up so much wheel travel

I would leave the wheels the color they are. I have been the all black route before and everything that is black starts to run together and doesn't stand out. I like the way things are coming together.

I think I am going to keep the wheel how they are for now. If they don't grow on me over the next few months I my do something else. I just love the way the black wheels and black accents made it so unique. You almost wouldn't even know it was the same Runner.

Took it out on a dirt pile this afternoon to test it out.

I did find a little rubbage though. A LITTLE! Should be an easy trim.

Hopefully this storm we are supposed to get tonight will blow over fast. Then maybe I can talk my wife into heading out to Little Moab tomorrow afternoon.

Looking good man, I like those new wheels. My runner will be sold tomorrow!

Then you will have to carry on the runner tradition in my place.

Looks good. Now you just need some sliders and you are good to go.

Just waiting for my cousin to get them done! I think they will look pretty good.;)

I finally got to go out with the Runner. Went down to Moab this last weekend. Ran Strike Ravine on Saturday.

My only damage came on "Big Ugly". One squished hub cap and lost fender flare (found the flare but it was toast). I needed an excuse to pull the fender flares anyways.

Going down a couple rock ledges. My photographer failed me and didn't get many shots. The ledge after the second one had my rear end 3 feet in the air.

Spent the next couple hours looking for TJ Dana 44 axle:mad:

Then I took my wife and boys to Tusher Tunnel. Not much of a trail but the tunnel was worth the drive. We then headed back to Moab via Bartlett Wash.

Sunday we headed to Fins 'n Things about 10:30 and after my cousin ran out of fuel on the way to the trail head we got there about 11:30.

Like I said my photographer failed me so those are the only pics I got on Fins:mad:

On the way home we (my wife and boys) took the Long Canyon trail. Unbelievable scenery:)

In Green River my brother tagged me with one of the stickers the Low Range crew hooked him up with (I don't mind, it looks good). Then I started my trail log (I know some of you don't like them but I do).

Nice pics, looks like you had fun. You don't need a hardcore rig to enjoy the terrain. I miss wheeling my lightly modified rigs, seems as though I covered more ground with them.
