AK barrel threading?

Anyone ever had a gunsmith remove a barrel/machine threads on an AK?

...and more specifically, std. AR thread size/pitch would probably be a good idea. 🤷‍♂️

I was under the impression that on an ak you didn't want to remove the barrel as they are difficult to get set up true again

And, it's an AK...you just file new threads, or hammer stuff onto it using rocks.

What are you trying to do? Suppressor? Compensator? Flash hider thingy?

I would suspect that to be true, thus the gunsmith. Granted, a legit gunsmith familiar with such nonsense.

Who doesn’t love the stamped, marginally accurate, but reliable aspects of the AK? 🤘 Threads are simply for “stuff and things”.
