Our total trip was 14 days, including first night in a hotel in Ushuaia. It is then 2-3 days each way (depending on conditions) through the Beagle Channel and crossing the Drake Passage.

Several other days are strictly exploring on the ship (some of the best whale watching and some other very scenic areas.) But on a number of days we were able to go out via zodiaks and do landings as well as further exploration of the area. We also had the option of one nights camping. An amazing sunset that night, with neighbors being penguins and seals.

We took our quick swim at our furthers south point. The expedition leader told us that he is pretty certain that was the furthest south they had ever done the polar plunge. Not too much of a shock when hitting the water, probably since the air and water were very similar temperatures (30F) 0I2A0873.jpgDSC_0018.JPGDSC_0156.JPGDSC_0171.JPGDSC_0468.JPGDSC_0779.JPG
