Any ice climbers. Trip to Ouray

Hey we may be headed to Ouray CO. for an Ice climbing trip in dec. 17-19 If anybody is interested. If not and you climb lets go locally. If you don't climb and want to try it I have plenty of gear to get you climbing safely.

I've seen the icepark in the summertime. You'll have fun. I want to go back again (in the summer) There's alot of easy fun wheeling out there.

I climb and boulder. Never wanted to try ice climbing though... don't trust a huge icicle as an anchor point when I'm smacking it with an ice axe

I've been there a couple of times only in winter though. I heard there are some cool trails though. I see how trusting and icicle can be scary. That's the best part about the ice park, you are anchored at the top to the rock with professionally placed bolts. very safe!! the belayer and everyone are at the top pin no danger of ice fall.

Bridal Veil is pretty good. Nice because you can climb any different level of difficulty. Easy to hard core.


Trip has been delayed until Jan. sorry. We can still go locally though.
