Totally Awesome
Can we get those big fat antennas here in the states?

They probably don't work here, but they look cooler than our stuff.

CB radio in Australia is completely different than CB radio in America. Here in the States, our CBs use 40 set frequencies ("channels") in the HF band at 27 mHz with 4w maximum output in AM operation (12w in SSB). Over in Australia, their CB radios use 30 set frequencies in the UHF band at 477 mHz with 5w maximum output in FM mode, and repeaters are allowed. This means Aussie CB is much more similar to the US 70cm ham radio band, itself located at 420-450 mHz... though we are allowed much more output power.
