Ya, that's why I put the Mopar M-1 MPI intake on it and the 50mm TB. It was burning oil from the bad plenum gasket leak and was way sluggish. I never have to worry about that plenum gasket blowing out and it stays cooler......not to mention better eccel.. Thinking about stroking it out later down the road...4 inch stroker kit.

Ya, iv'e been keeping a eye out for any slippage, but none as of yet. I installed a bigger trans cooler to keep the fluids cool and took off the clutch fan and installed a durango electric fan. Stays way cooler now. Tx for the comments.

I want to eventually do a d44 out of a rubicon for the E-locker, but funds are still limited with the move to logan. I couldn't afford the RC 4.5 long arm lift, so I opted for the free 5" used lift thanks to stupidjeepbroke. I went and helped him with stripping his parts jeep and he gave me the whole suspension, 3" looks like rustys springs, 2" spacers, Skyjacker front and rear lower control arms , brand new front shocks and moog trackbar, I grabbed the sway bar and links for the better ball joint type ends, and good, but used rear shocks and trackbar. I grabbed the front and rear trackbar relocation brackets to try to keep everything in alignment. Rides rougher for sure, but doesn't have all the slop in the suspension from the broke bushings and bad shocks. I only have been able to get the front done so far, was going to get the back done today, but weather stopped me. (Ya with the 5" on the front and 3" on the back, it drives the wife crazy driving it...LOL.)

Oh, and a replacement steering box. Mine was leaking like a siv and it had play in the gears.

Got the lift done! rides a little rougher, but is way smooth for a short arm lift.
Had to rebuild the lower skyjacker arms, they were full of rust.

Now to get it aligned.

It's been awhile since iv'e been on here, but just thought id'e post an update since i'm going to be doing some work to the 'ol girl. Still have her, still rides like a tank and has as much slop as a $2 hooker....lol. She's going on 202k on the clock, still runs strong, a little oil burning, but not too bad, trans has had no issues, transfer case still sucks, bad viscous coupler, next year's the engine rebuild. The Lower skyjacker control arms have rusted out where the bushings are, both front upper control arm bushings that are on the axle have wore out, both motor and transmission mounts are shot, rear drums are shot......but even with bald tires and bad transfer case, she's still fun as hell to wheel and reliable as hell. Upgrades are going to be finally; RC 4" long arm lift, Durango/Dakota steering box, Steering box brace http://www.ebay.com/itm/Jeep-ZJ-Ste...el:Grand+Cherokee&hash=item4ae3e3189c&vxp=mtr, I'm rebuilding the transfer case with a new viscous coupler, Polyurethane motor mounts and a Rubicon Express transmission mount, 31X10.50R15 KENDA KLEVER M/T, and I'm doing the '98 5.9 limited rear disc brake conversion to get rid of the rear drum brakes. Does anybody know if I have to find a D35 c-clip rear end for the conversion parts or will a non c-clip D35 work for the swap? I have the d35c.

Got a little update, rode out to transwest pick a part and got the backing plates, brake cables, proportioning valve, calipers, grabbed a awesome set of shoes for the e-brake, they were almost new with new hardware, grabbed a e-brake handle as the button on mine was broke, found the back plastic panel that goes on the hatch, and some misc parts that needed attention. Got the RC long arm lift ordered, new prothane motor mount inserts are on there way, the steering box brace is on it's way, ordered the axle side front upper control arm bushings, and ordered black hart slotted and drilled rotors and pads. Took some time last weekend to fix the dreaded solder joints on the speedometer circuit board, nice to have a non bouncy speedo, replaced the blower motor resistor pack so I have all speeds on the heater fan, and fixed a sort in my rear driver window. Will update as the parts start flowing in.

Got the e-brake replacement installed, replaced the bulbs in the heater controls, replaced the shocks on the back hatch, Prothane motor mount inserts and Moog upper axle side control arm bushings showed up. Going to get those installed this weekend. Waiting on the rotors and pads to come to get the disc brake swap installed.

I'm amazed it hasn't locked up fully also...It only gives us issues on long journeys like going to salt lake. Ok, 46RH....i guess I need to research more on the tranny more...it's never given me a issue so I haven't read on it very much.

I love when parts come flowing in, it feels like Christmas.....Black Hart slotted and drilled rotors with pads, and the steering box brace came in, just waiting on the lift to get here. Doing to get the brace, brakes, bushings and motor mount inserts in this weekend.
Will post pic's of the progress as I get them done.

Got the disc brake swap done, had to buy rear wheel studs for the disc brake models, mine were too short, the abs light is on for the tone rings on the rear axle being for the '93 drum brakes instead of the '96 discs, have to get the right abs sensors and axles, but much more stopping power. Installed the steering box brace, but didn't have time to get pictures. I also adjusted the bearing preload for the input shaft on the steering box and the over center adjustment, and wow, what a difference! I highly recommend doing this if you have any play in your steering and have ruled out anything else. I had 1" to 1 1/2" of play in my steering before, and now none, tight as my Subaru. The over center adjustment didn't change anything, but when I did the bearing preload adjustment and then the over center, it was perfect. Link to a tutorial I followed; http://www.jeepforum.com/forum/f13/steering-box-adjustments-fix-your-floppy-steering-1164443/. I am still waiting to receive the lift, but still have to install the upper control arm bushings on the axle side and the motor mount inserts before I start the lift. Pic's;

I haven't posted on here in awhile and thought id'e update on the progress. Got the lift on and new tires. Went with the Mud Claw radial in the same 31" size $605 out the door and there made by Cooper. My radiator blew so had to replace the radiator and got a Taurus fan to replace the crappy durango one I had. Love the Taurus fan, pulls a ton of air on low setting, haven't wired up the high yet. Love the brakes! They have more than enough stopping power, and virtually no brake dust.
