There are a few of us heading down and are looking for a convenient place to camp for 6 - 7 nights near BFE.

Is there somewhere close for camping which can accomodate tow rigs, trailers, campers, tents etc...?

There are a lot of camp spots right across the highway in the 'Behind the Rocks' camp area. Some spots are quite large.

Literally, right across the street. ;)

Here, check out this rough map on areabfe.com:

The campgrounds are right across the highway and pretty much start as soon as you turn on to the dirt road.

So has anyone camped out at the entrance to Behind the Rocks trail? Is it a good truck camper camping area?

Thanks,
Dave

I've camped there before. It's not too bad if you've got all of your supplies in your vehicle. Water, facilities, etc.

We've just camped AT BFE...plenty of flat space to park, your base camp is at the area you'll most likely break...it's perfect.
