CBR engine

First off I have never seen this engine run, I picked it up for a project that didn't happen. The previous owner laid his bike down and parted the bike in my friends garage. After holding parts for 2 years it had to go, so I grabbed it. It has a few broken motor mounts but is completely salvageable. I don't know for sure if this was a CBR 900 or 929 or 954 or anything.

Sounds like so far it is a '97 CBR900RR motor... According to the engine block stamp numbers.
