Things are coming along nicely. I've been busy with work and out of town a bit lately so things have been slow but I'm back at it and it's getting close. Mounted some new shocks and new front bumper, front spring perches and a winch. Finished the gas pedal, fenders, windshield etc. I've plumbed the motor all up and completed most of the wiring.

She fired up nicely the other day although it wouldn't stay running since I haven't reprogrammed the PCM yet. I sent that out and should have it back Tuesday.

All in all I'm aiming to have it completely finished in two weeks in time to go to Moab and see what breaks.

I still have some minor wiring to complete, need to have the exhaust fabbed up. ....and a whole bunch of little things like sensors for the gauges, shifter linkages etc.

A couple pics of the brackets I had cut by the shop next door. I just drew up the design in auto cad and had them cut it out with their plasma table. Just bend them up and you're good to go!

If anyone needs one of these holders for a GM computer let me know and I'll have them cut you one out. You just slide the computer in from the side and drop a pin in it to hold it.

The other brackets are to raise my radiator. It was interfering with the steering gear box.

Update: It's alive! It's running and driving and I've had it out to Moab for a couple test runs already. The first trip we just hit Hell's Revenge and all went well. Second trip we ran Metal Masher and the Gold Spike/Gold Bar/Poison Spider loop.... wasn't planning on going that far but oh well. Everything is working great. I can't believe how good this motor sounds with the masterflow 40 series muffler.

The 4L60E is shifting a little funny, if you give it a little too much gas it revs to the moon then shifts. Otherwise it seems to shift fine if you're not too crazy with the skinny pedal. This motor sure is peppy in this little jeep.

Here's a few pictures of it out in the sun. What started as a motor swap ended up being a motor swap, new paint job, new shocks, new front bumper/winch, new traction bar, new rear u-bolt eliminators, new wheels and tires.

FB must have changed something on their side, if they are private on your account then they probably wouldn't work here (or were not supposed to?) Could have been a bug on their they 'fixed'.
