Trip Report Colorado High

Took a daytrip with friends up to Aspen, CO that was pretty damn amazing. The trip started out driving directly thru Aspen and onto the ski slopes and up the mountain. We reached 10k feet pretty quickly and once past the ski area, the road got pretty rough. There were even a few snow drifts left to bash thru! We topped out over 12k feet high, then found our way to Taylor Lake. As the day wound down, we headed back down the mountain to Aspen for a great BBQ dinner!

Wow those are big mountains! Looks like a cool place to find yourself on a Saturday

I was impressed with how massive the area was, is was incredible! I've been around the Taylor Park area quite a bit, it was really neat to go above Aspen and see how short of a distance is it to Taylor Park. That area is summer camping/fishing/exploring Heaven!
