Thought I would post this for those who are interested in shooting competition.
www.udpl.net Utah Defensive Pistol League. They hold their events at "The Farm" out by Five Mile Pass.
They have competitions every month usually on the last Saturday. They put on a great match. There are usually 8 or 9 different stages with paper targets, steel, texas stars, etc. It is a blast. The atmosphere is relaxed with a lot of first time competitiors at each event. There are no prizes just the thrill of competition. It is a great way to be put in a stressful situation and seeing how you perform.
There are also shooting matches at Rangemasters in Springville. Usually the first Wednesday and 3rd Tuesday of each month. That one is only 3 stages but a blast as well. Shooters are some of the nicest people you'll ever meet.
