Have you had any problems with XP pro and the 64 bit??? On my bro's machine a lot of programs are not compatible...and Xp seems to have soem problems sometimes....Just wonderin..

You know the only thing that hasnt worked for me is Adobe illustrator 8, i researched the prob and found a fix but have neglected to fix it yet. What programs are you haveing problems with?

Clone-DVD....X-Copy has some glitches...
Optimizer program...Crashed system...Cheap program though
Hmmm...Can't think of any others at the moment.

I know that the cause of my issue was backwards compatibility, I will post the MS repair link later when I can get to my home PC.

Honestly, it sounds just like true Bill gates fashion. He always has to be there in the spotlight too regaurdless of what it takes. Coincidently, Halo 3 is set to release the same day as PS3. I can't stand MS tactics and how they do business, thats part of the reason I no longer even have a MS box in my house.

No problems with xp pro on either box.... and I just built another for a friend, no probs there so far.


As for how soon on x64? It's been available for beta download for 1.5 ~ 2 years....

another good one is Fair Use Wizard. I use it to put DVDs on my PPC, works great...and its free. Can't say for sure if it will work with the windows 64 though.
