When I was driving out to the west desert a week ago, I put it on Cruise Control at 65-70 and was getting around 24mpg. This is by far the best I have ever got. I usually get around 14-16. I think I learned if you stay off the skinny pedal it helps.

Trip comuter milage is meaningless....True mileage has to be figured manually for several tanks and averaged.
Sure there are times we all can get 20 + towing....down Parely's.
Went do you get for a full tank, week after week, or trip after trip??

(this is not directed at anyone/I am not calling anyone out....just think about it)

Checking manually in my 05 CTD I get 18-20 driving nice all freeway driving. Thats on a trip all around 70 MPH. Towing my jeep I get 14-15 depending on conditions.

Going back and forth to work everyday letting it warm up about 5 min then a 17 min commute I get 15-17 MPG

I do it all the time, I keep a running tab. A significant drop in mileage is an excellent way to spot some emissions problems. also most chevy trucks don't have mileage counters.

I average 16-17 in my 6spd psd. Thats a mix of city/highway unloaded. If I put the camper and boat on then hit the road I see 12-14.

My best tank ever was strictly highway driving for about 300 miles at 55mph (through a very long construction zone) I turned out 22mpg.
