I enjoy wood fireplaces because I like spewing carbon into the atmosphere in order to produce heat while also providing me with something to stare at for hours while I sip whiskey in the cold winter months. Unfortunately the fireplace in my new house has a pretty severely damaged firebox, apparently from a cap that used to be on the chimney falling down some years back.

I'd like to get this fixed in order to support my alcoholism this winter. Anyone have the mad skillz to do that?
