Was driving through some good looking coyote country on my way home yesterday, stopped to make my first stand of the year.
It produced

Only had time to make one other stand. It didn't produce...
Too many irons in the fire, won't get another chance to try and call one for at least another three weeks. From the little amount of boot time yesterday though, it looked to me like I might have been lucky to get the one I did from that particular area. Just didn't see hardly any sign at all. Will definitely try another area far, far from there, when I finally get time to go on a proper coyote hunt.
Skinned it, not looking too bad. Belly was weak, of course, but the back was in good shape, no blue at all. That coyote had a TON of fat on him, he was a freakin' toad...
