21 Road 4x4 Trail
Difficulty: 4.5 / 5 (RR4W Scale)
Rating: Hard to Difficult.
Location: Fruita, CO
Distance: Approx. 3.5 miles
Description: Rocky wash with large boulders & optional difficult lines. You choose how hard this trail is. Usually quite wet in the Spring, Ice and Snow in the Winter.
Requirements: Winch recommended, body armor needed, 35" tires minimum, and at least a rear locker, but front and rear lockers are highly recommended.

Directions to 21 Road;

Take Exit 19 off I-70 to Fruita, CO. Drive:

  • Head north on N Cherry St toward W Pabor Ave
    0.3 mi
    1 min
  • Turn right at K Rd/W Ottley Ave
    Continue to follow K Rd heading East.
    3.9 mi
    7 mins
  • Turn left at 21 Rd heading North to the end of the road. Stay on main gravel road until you reach the canyon and drop into the wash.

Ok that settles it. Jeff, Greg, Darrell, Shawn, Chris. When are we going again. :) ANYWHERE!

I think we might have to do an intervention on Chris. I don't think he remembers where the transfer case shifter is anymore. ;)

That was a great trip, awesome trails and AMAZING people. :D
What about St. George?

BTW, what's a transfer case???

I've heard a lot about this trail, gonna have to get out and check it one of these days :greg:
Wally, I'm sure you know that trail better upside down and sideways than most people know it on 4 wheels!

That's supposed to be a compliment, btw! :p
