Do these need a vent to the outside? I've been looking at them for a while.

I just finished diving to the bottom of this rabbit hole. I like this style, but it's WAY too big for my garage. It's a great deal for someone with a bigger shop. I'm only about 750 sq/ft. This one is rated for 1,000-3,000 sq/ft.

I assume a regulator and thermostat and associated parts would need to be purchased to run this?

You’ll need a simple 120v or 24v thermostat to run it... or I’m sure you could just run an on/off switch if wanted.
Shouldn’t need a regulator unless you have a high pressure meter... minimum inlet pressure is .25psi (standard residential pressure) and maximum is .50psi.

....I happen to have a couple Hive thermostats NIB if you want to go the smart t-stat route, I think I’ve got some line-to-24v transformers too to make install a bit easier. Man I’ve got too much crap 💩
