Dear 4 Wheelers,

After 2 ½ years of working on the GBC with the BLM I have to cancel the 2006 event due to issues with land use. I am sorry for any inconvenience that
this may have caused anyone that has made plans to attend.

I have some information that may be useful to anyone who would like to drive
the excellent designated roads in the Delta area. This information came from
the BLM office in Fillmore directly from Steve Bonner at a meeting on
5-24-06 at 9:00 AM. Information as follows:

1. Clubs are unable to use the roads without a permit. The reason is that a
club is considered an organizing committee or group and fall into the BLMs
definition of an event.
2. Groups of greater than 6 people cannot be on the roads at one time. This
is also considered and event and requires a permit.
3. All use must be confined to existing roads as defined by the BLM.

This information is as I understood it at the time of the meeting. All
information was verbal and I have no written copy. I also believe it applies
only to the Fillmore office which has jurisdiction of the Delta trails.

For any questions, please call Craig Stumph at 801 367 1395 or contact Steve
Bonner directly at 435 743 6811 in Fillmore.

Thank You
Craig Stumph

I really hope they meant 6 vehicles and not 6 people. You can fit more than 6 people in some vehicles.
