Katelynn is just fine. She may have had a slightly sore neck but considering that is great. Agreed that the vehicle absorbed so much of the impact. Landing how it did would have pushed her into the seat and not restraints Like a rocket ship seating position. We feel very blessed. How's she feeling now? I talked to her a couple times afterwards and she seemed ok, and always with a great attitude. Glad she's alright, that could have been a bunch worse. I think being in a full bodied rig with a cage ate a LOT of force that could have gone into her neck, or ribs, or spine, etc. Very happy none of that happened.
That video is terrifying! I’ve been in similar situations and I understand completely that feeling of helplessnessThe best video we have. I was wearing a gopro on my helmet. We wear head sets and she wasn't talking to me but her head set came disconnected during the fall so that is why I was yelling.
The first scream is Katelynn. The rest are my wife. I was yelling because we wear head sets and she wasn't talking to me so naturally I panicked. Turns out the tumble disconnect it somehow.Man… those screams as she’s going over…that’s exactly what I would have sounded like.
