Late Notice Ride American Fork to Big Cottonwood

My wife has a 10k Sat morning at Thanksgiving Point, so I thought I'd ride home the long way. I know it's short notice, but oh well. Meet at Tibble Res. at about 1030am.
I'll be heading from there up American Fork Canyon rd to Midway, then North up to Big Cottonwood Canyon in to salt lake. Google puts the ride at 47 miles and about 2 hours.

Nice ride this time. Here's a few pictures I took along the way. I had a bit of trouble working my way up the super rocky section of Am Fork Canyon Rd. Up till about the turn off of Mineral Basin. After about that the road was just hard dirt and was much faster going. The pictures are a bit out of order, but you get the idea. I was thinking that I'd be on dirt up till about half way through Big Cottonwood. Maybe I missed a turn or something or was missinformed. Anyways, the road section was tons of fun as well.

This was where I dropped down into Salt Lake County. The temp dropped like 20 degrees and there was snow on the ground. I though it was funny how it was so warm on one side of the mountain, then just on the other side it was freezing.
