JERRY DAUGHERTY E3SPARKPLUGS - PRO 4 #23 ROUNDS3&4LASVEGASMOTORSPEEDWAY

Jerry Daugherty, after Round 3 & 4, is currently in 5th Place of the Championship Standings.
The E3 Spark Plugs/Lucas Oil Pro 4 #23 set out to battle in Las Vegas! Having great momentum due to the great results had at Firebird Raceway in Rounds 1 & 2. The 2013 season finds Jerry and the team looking to improve lap times, consistency, and ultimately to spend more time on the box!
LOORRS Rounds 3 & 4
Jerry Daugherty and the #23 had a few front end issues in practice, and the great crew of the Live Fast Play Dirty Motorsports team had him ready for qualifying on Saturday morning. Jerry qualified 9th in Saturday's round of qualifying. As race time commenced, Jerry and the #23 knew, that with the level of competition in this Pro 4 class, that he was going to have to push his way through the field from 9th, and finish in the top 5 at the least. Jerry was able to do just that! Jerry battled his way toward the front and kept out of trouble, while challenging Kyle LeDuc for the 5th position. It worked out for him and the E3 Spark Plugs #23 as he finished 5th in Saturday's round of racing!Sunday's qualifying effort was much like that of Saturday, placing Jerry in the 9th position. Although placing in the same position, Jerry was able to increase lap times significantly and prove to make increasing successes.
As the green flag dropped, Jerry proceeded to run a great race. It seemed that most of the race was a battle between Jerry and the E3 #23 and Brandon Bailey of the Stonghold Motorsports team. They battled for seemingly endless laps, when the unfortunate tire demise of Corry Weller caused her to hit the hot pits allowing Brandon to gain position from Jerry. The battling of round 4 continued, and at the checkered flag, Jerry finished in 6th position.
Jerry Daugherty and the E3 Spark Plugs/Lucas Oil Pro 4 had a great weekend and has definitely proven that he is gaining on the leaders!

ROUND 3
The Mickey Thompson Pro Lite #23 of Aaron Daugherty showed up at Firebird Raceway for Rounds 1 & 2 looking nothing like it's former self! With months and months of changes and work done to every aspect of this truck, Aaron was excited to get behind the wheel and try it out! Having significant changes to the motor package, the Live Fast Play Dirty crew have worked to fine tune what seems to be a great package! As the trucks began showing up for Rounds 3 & 4 of racing, it was apparent that the Pro Lite class was going to be massive in size! This was confirmed once practice and qualifying began! Qualifying was spilt into two groups in order to give the field a better qualifying scenario. Aaron and the Mickey Thompson/Lucas Oil Pro Lite #23 ran a great effort and finished 8th in his group of qualifiers. He was in hopes of having a better effort and starting near the front, but the #23 quickly proved his intent once the green flag dropped! The massive field of Pro Lite entries was amazing to watch! Closing in on the 30 count of trucks, this class is absolutely brutal! As 27 trucks hit the first turn, not a single truck lifts! This high intensity racing continued throughout the 14 lap event! Aaron ran a great, clean race, proving to be a success for the #23. Aaron and the Live Fast Play Dirty Motorsports/ Mickey Thompson/ Lucas Oil Pro Lite brought in a top 10 finish and finished this round in 9th place.
ROUND 4
Aaron and the #23 qualified 8th in his group for Round 4 of racing. He and the crew were focused and ready for racing! Again, as the massive group of trucks made their parade lap, it wasn't without thought of carnage, that the race began. If there was any question as to whether or not the field could get any more aggressive.......there is none now. Sunday's race involved more contact, and more battles thanSaturday's, and Aaron was directly in the mix! The #23 was involved in everything from big contact, to bicycling on 2 wheels, to ultimately having a difficult time seeing through the mangled hood that was in front of him. A few issues in turn 4 caused him to shuffle back a few places, and he was not able to regain the positions. At the end of the race, Aaron and the Mickey Thompson/Lucas Oil Pro Lite finished in a respectable 15th!
Aaron and the #23 Pro Lite is in 14th Place in the Points Standings.
