Load Range F tires

Totally Awesome
I recently put 35x12.5x18 tires on my truck.

The tire installer inflated them to 80 psi on my unloaded truck. It was squirrelly to say the least. I deflated them to 65 psi. Much better.

Max psi is 80 on the tires.

Am I going to hurt anything running at this pressure?

I’ve done this with E and E2 rated tires and never had an issue. This is my first set of F Rated tires.

Max pressure has a weight rating that goes with it. If you were towing a heavy load, then Max is a good idea to help support the weight. 65 PSI in tires rated for 80 max is fine, shouldn't effect anything.

I drop mine down to 35 rear and 45 front. I only air them up when towing, and even then I only go 65 front and about 70-75 rear.

Michelin has a guide online that tells you what pressure you should run for each tire based on actual weight on the tires. I'll see if I can find it.

I found the guide. It doesn't show a tire equivalent to yours, but if you study the graph you'll get an idea of what I'm saying. Too much pressure will only serve to make the ride harsh, cause premature wear on suspension parts, and uneven tire wear.
