I would love to be able to export our Path files to GPS exchange and host them here as well. Anybody know what it takes?

Garmin has the POI loader
http://www8.garmin.com/products/poiloader/

Then there are also 3rd party POI loaders. I borrowed a Garmin 76CS that wasn't supported by Garmin's POI loader and used http://www.easygps.com/ to load waypoints. It also allows you to pull them off your GPS unit.

The GPS exchange file is just a fancy text document similar to a XML file. Open one with notepad and you can modify it if needed. (When I tried to load the GPX file for Behind the rocks I had too many way points so I deleted a bunch to get it on the unit).

I assume you are talking about converting the Google Earth kmz files to gpx. If so, if you'll convert the kmz files to kml and send them to me I can convert them to gpx for you.

To convert kmz to kml, just open the kmz in Google Earth and save them as kml. You can save them by right clicking on the file name in the Places pane.

I found a utility that will convert them for me, which is pretty cool.

My question is: how many waypoints per set do most GPS units support? I remember hearing that there is a limit.

Most of the low end Garmins support 500 (newer versions support 1000). (pulled off garmin.com)

I just downloaded a *.gpx file. How do I convert that to *.EPS for the mapping software? (or do I need to?)
