Ok, so now that that is out of the way, yes, Zooey Daschanel sings too. And her voice is just as lovely as her face. Several years ago she partnered with M. Ward to release an album under the name She & Him. Titled Volume One, I found this one of the most refreshing albums of 2008. Very mellow and a nice escape from the pop/rock/screamo crap that was dominating the the airwaves at the time.
Volume Two continues that with very approachable, classic rock. Definitely a more "full" album than Volume One in that it feels more produced, but not to a detriment. It retains that post-war, 1950's feel to it. Upbeat and sunny, perfect for sitting on the back porch with a lemonade during those pleasant summer evenings.
