Musings on ‘70s styling goodness

Have gun, will travel
I think we can all agree that trucks are one of the few shining stars of the ‘70s automotive world. I especially love the colors and cool paint schemes that came on them as manufacturers struggled to divert attention from some of their other abominations. My all time favorites were the Power Wagons and their special packages. I loved the Warlock, Little Red Express, Top Hand, and especially the Macho Edition. Cars today seem to be mainly available In red, black, white, or some shade of silver. My first truck was a ‘74 SB 4WD Power Wagon Adventurer in Go Mango Orange with black interior. That truck bordered on legendary and I miss it. Well, @spaggyroe’s brother very kindly gifted me a ‘95 Ram SB 4WD that I have been tinkering on, and it’s got me thinking. It came with a very low budget bed liner paint job, so, naturally I’ve decided to tribute paint it in the Macho paint scheme. Which one is your favorite? Or is there another ‘70s scheme you prefer? Let’s hear/see them!

I'm sorry you all had to suffer during the 70s while the universe saved up enough awesome to drop me into the world in 1980.

Those are all awful looking ha ha. But if you're going full-send-ugly, go with the last one. Orange/black
Move over sucker, I was so awesome a mountain blew up just for me.

That first one is just primer gray with some black and yellow right? Its fitting because I don't think I've seen too many trucks (or cars for that matter) of that vintage that are painted more than just that.

Says the guy who’s generation brought us the awesome K car and the minivan... in my opinion, they quit building anything cool after 1972.

The FJ is the best you can come up with? I rest my case. The auto industry on all fronts failed us for 30 years. The 2000’s are bringing on some awesome stuff, so there is some hope for you kids.
