The Castle country King Crawlers monthly trail ride will be Pinnacle II on May 6th. We will depart from the 4X4 Challenge park at 9am. From there it will be about 5 miles on graveled county roads to the trail head. The Trail usually rates about a 4, but as with most of our harder trails around Price it is mostly in a wash bottom and can change with the weather. There is one spot near the end were you have to drive through a narrow rock wedge that has bent sheet metal before. Outside of that its just a fun run with smaller (usually dry), sloping water falls and a lose dirt climb up onto a narrow dirt dug way. This is the first time this year we have ran it, so anything could happen.
and the fact that they are in the same area. When we turned the trails into the BLM, they asked us to name them and this one had no name, so spur of the moment it became Pinnacle II. I personally like the original better, but II is still a good trail as long as mother nature has not hit it to hard this year. The dug way has washed out before and we (CCKC) have patched it. So we may need to spend a bit of time doing some repair. Anyone is welcome, just don't expect a quick run.
