For on-the-cheap, it's hard to beat a simple protractor/drafting angles to find the angle and 1x2's screwed to a piece of plywood.
Yes the plywood gets burned in places, but just keep an eye on it.

I've purchased a few Fireball tools and they are good quality.
Their less expensive vices are made in Taiwan, so that was a little disappointing. Still a nicer piece of kit than the HF stuff.
