Still coming down in Saratoga springs, I didn't realize Stephen was in charge of the snow wheeling trip this year

I made it down to Stockton, I had hoped to film this trip. Unfortunately it’s totally socked in, and the weather radar shows snow all the way past Fish Springs, it wouldn’t make for an enjoyable video. I wouldn’t be able to show any of the scenery. At least not with my novice filming experience. So, count me out, maybe next time.

Solid 3" of snow here in Tooele and it's still coming down. Hope everyone has fresh tires today.

Yeah, that's going to be muddy and gross out there. Have fun.

Maybe you guys should abort the PET run and try and get above the freeze line. Do a little snow wheeling instead.

It was muddy all right. More like concrete (once it dries).

Thanks again to @Stephen for leading! Had a great time! Even when Galahad decided to get a little sideways! Ask @rockwell ! He was behind me. I almost needed a fresh pair of boxers!

Glad to hear we weren’t the only ones slipping around. Livy got good practice on getting out of fish tails.

It was wet, I don't know about muddy.


This was pretty cool, much cooler than my ameteur photography shows.

It seemed to get muddier the further back you got... bringing up the rear I seemed to find the mud.

It was a fun trip and good to be out.

What a fun day! It was great hanging with some cool people and learning more about the trail. Stephen did a great job guiding us and is very knowledgeable about the PET. Now to see if this mud that looks and feels like cement will come off.

The only way I've found to get that mud off is to work on your rig. Crawl under there and put a wrench on something and the mud will immediately come off and fall right in your eye.

The weather forecast didn't make it sound like we'd deal with snow and mud.....

This was just the drive to meet at the trail head.

Well it only took me 2.5 hours to get the outside presentable again. Still have the inside to do.

Mine still needs some work, I tried finding a car wash in Wendover and they were all closed or had a network error, ended up hitting the car wash in Grantsville and getting the main mud off. I need to park it on the lawn and let the sprinkler run under it for a while.

Woke up Sunday to wash the gladiator and the windshield is cracked. It didn't take any big rock hits and the crack did not start at the edge. This is the second breakage in it's 6500 miles.

I worked on mine for a couple hours today as well. I am happy to say the mud (cement) came out of the soft doors. The interior still needs work but got some of it done too. Completely worth it!

$10 at the cheapest car wash in town, then an hour on the lawn with a hose. This morning there were big chunks on the garage floor. Need some dry washboard roads now to rattle the rest loose.

I spent about $20 and roughly 30 minutes to get Galahad presentable again. Still some big chunks underneath despite my best effort. I used all of the quarters I had.

2 drive thru car washes . Had to take off wheels wash out 2'' of mud behind the rims . And wash with my power washer and then hand washed .
Man now I remember how I hate mud.
