So we just bought a sweet 98 Honda CRV for my wife and we're looking for a way to install my RTT (Mombasa first gen) to the top for those trips where lo range isn't needed. It has no factory rails and I really don't want to drill the roof unless I have too. Do you think that the Yakima "rail grab" setup would be okay? http://www.moosejaw.com/moosejaw/sh...akima-Rail-Grab-Tower-2-Pack&ad_id=GoogleBase this is what I'm looking at hopefully you get the idea. I cant imagine the tent weighing more than some of the loaded cargo boxes I've seen what do you think?

I think that would work, if you're concerned about the weight carrying capacity you could use 6 mounts and 3 bars across the roof, spreading out the load.

^I agree. With the traditional yakima set up they are designed to hold only a coupla hundred pounds. Which will definitely hold the tent but will it hold the tent, gear and yourselves?
