So I guess y’all know I didn’t buy a white TJ buggy. In short, Saturday afternoon an instagram buddy sent me pics of his buggy he was about to list for sale. I had to have it, and I was tired of waiting on Greg’s TJ build. So I forced Greg to buy the white one and I bought this one. I had to twist his arm A LOT. 😂

It’s a full tube chassis that was built over a decade ago, about the time the goat threads started.

Mustang based Ford small block punched out to 306 with aluminum heads and a cam. Mustang fuel injection.

NP435 transmission

Heavily built Dana 300 with 4:1 and all the rest of the heavy parts.

Dodge Kingpin Dana 60 front with 4.88 gears and a lock rite. 4130 shafts with Longfield 300m joints.
Full hydro PSC steering setup.

Poor teen bolt rear with 4.88’s and a Detroit

108” wheelbase

14”x2” front air shocks, 16”x2” rear

39” BFG Red label Stickies on Walker Evans Beadlocks

Mastercraft seats

Mojave heater

That was part of the attraction. Britney's drivetrain is compatible. I'll run the NP435 for a while though, because it's fun.

Your buggy is a perfect fit for you and your likes... its going to be fun to see it getting used on the hard trails. It's a perfect upgrade from old Britney, rest her soul. 🥺

Still can’t tell from the pics whether the vintage color is more of a brown or yellow-ish tone. 🤷‍♂️ Maybe a Tacoma expo rig owner can confirm. 😉 Regardless, it’s crying out for a tall horizontal wood-grain stripe down each side panel. That’ll fix it.

Sounds dangerously close to Tacoma “Quicksand” then… scratch the wood grain and just submit to traction boards and a RTT.

I personally love the color in person. It is very much in my opinion a “desert tan” but I think it looks super good. The entire buggy is just bad ass looking. Can’t wait to see some action pics of it.
