I have seen this over the years, in fact I recall seeing it back in the early 201X's I like the execution, and think it's a cool build. It isn't perfect, but considering what it is I really like it. Finally got a chance to take a pic.

I also saw a HORRIBLE XJ "thing" downtown on Monday. It was right off the 900 S off ramp. it was an XJ with some sort of pickup bed on it. The lift was massive, but the tires were probably 31's. It was bad and I tried to grab a photo, but I was unable due to the flow of traffic.

I’ll guess it was this?

It looks like it is in violation of the height law.

Vehicles under 4,500 GVWR have a max frame height of 24 inches. Those with a GVWR between 4,500 and 7,499 have a max frame height of 26 inches, and those over 7,500 have a max frame height of 28 inches.

Its kind of cool, but I agree could be executed better. Way too tall, and I would agree probably illegal according to safety.

Maybe that is why it has such a small tire? Trying to get it lower?

I see this Comanche "thing" on my way to work every day... it's pretty interesting. It's got Super Duty axles and stuff, but the rear portion of the frame looks like original Comanche frame. Who knows.
