The engineers that designed these older Rangers deserve a raise. The engineers that designed a 2007 Focus deserve kicked in the nuts.

I’m pretty sure the service manual on a heater-core or blower motor replacement just states “sell the car and replace it with a new vehicle.”

When I bought this car I was aware that it needed a new power steering line (and also pump because the kid had been driving it for a long time without power steering due to the leaking line) and I figured no-problem; my Ranger is super easy to work on, this one has gotta be too. That power steering line was a b*tch.

Bought a daily, need a new daily.

Well I did actually intend to daily this for a while, like a month or two, but it’s original intention after that month or two wasn’t to be a daily.

It’s just that the power steering line ended up being such a b*tch that I decided to skip the daily-driver part.

I also welded in a 3.5” exhaust tubing coupler to act as reinforcement for having cut the hole in that panel for the exhaust. The new exhaust gets routed through the hole.

I picked up an eBay turbo manifold just because it’s top mounting flange, but I have to stay naturally aspirated, so I needed to go from rectangle to round. Another tool off the 3D printer and some persuasions and I built a T3 rectangle to 2.5” round adapter and added a flex joint right after that.

Excuse the welds. I just have a fluxcore 110v here and honestly didn’t really care if they were pretty or not.

Haha in seriousness though I still do have to add accent colors and stuff. I had a coworker from work help me on this and we ended up rushing the masking tape job and it shows, but it’s fine.
