Any reason I couldn't or shouldn't move the drag link TRE underneath the steering arm. I'm making some modifications and it would put the drag link just about parallel with the tie rod, leaving more clearance for a panhard above it. I realize I would need the taper going the opposite way or possibly change to a rod end (heim). Just need advice as to whether it makes any functional difference above or below.

It'd depend on your panhard angle. If you're just now building the panhard and bracketry, and can match the angles (panhard and drag link) then do as you wish.

Yes, it should actually make matching the angles (panhard/drag link) easier and create more room. Right now, the steering arm side is higher than the pitman arm side. It always functioned fine with leaf springs so I left it.
