Haha, yeah. I have 1 tons going under the Jeep soon and don't expect the 231 chain to survive very long, so no sense putting more money into it. Just going to run it as is until it dies, then upgrade.

I’ve literally never seen a 231 output break. I’ve seen one bend and that’s it.

What is the typical cost for this installed?

I’m not sure but the part is normally like $290. Maybe another couple hundred to install it- or have an experienced friend come over and help you do it yourself.
