I have a 2010 JKU looking to bypass Traction control. Seen vids talking about cutting purple wire with light blue strip under shifter console, cut wire and tested, no lights on dash stating disabled. Without going in sand or snow is this the correct methods to put a switch on? Other forums state the lights would come on when cutting the wire

There's a couple different wires with those colors. One has a spiral stripe and one is straight. I think it's the spiral one you need to cut if you're looking for it near where the lower dash meets the shifter console.
If you look for the accelerometer under the very back of the center console, its easier to spot as it has just a single wire going in and out of it.
