Clackamas, OR (9/10/20) - Warn Industries is ready to debut an all-new, innovative way to control a truck or powersports winch using a smart device: introducing the WARN® HUB Receiver and App. This high-tech, highly durable wireless system allows users to control their truck or powersports winch using the Bluetooth connection on a smartphone or other smart device when paired with Warn's free iOS or Android App.

If a user has the HUB Reciever and the HUB App on a smartphone, they'll always have a winch remote. No more worrying if a winch remote gets lost or damaged on the trail. If a user has their phone with them, they can operate their winch. Smart Winch Control Using a Smart Device

The HUB Receiver is a state-of-the-art wireless control system allowing users to operate their winch using the Bluetooth connection on their smart device. The IP68 waterproof Receiver connects into the winch using the existing winch remote socket or included wiring (depending on the model), then Warn's free custom-developed App communicates with the Receiver via Bluetooth signal. The user's smart device will be able to operate the winch from up to 100’ away and monitor the vehicle’s battery voltage in all applications.

Truck & Powersports Applications

The HUB Receiver works with truck and powersports winches. On the truck side, there's a version that works with nearly all WARN winches (with the exception of the ZEON Platinum). There is also a version that will work with other winch brands, letting non-WARN owners take advantage of this new technology.

For powersports winches, there's a version that will work with WARN VRX, ProVantage, and Vantage winches, and one that works with WARN AXON winches. When paired with an AXON, HUB takes full advantage of the winch's state-of-the-art, high-tech components. With AXON, not only will the HUB App display voltage but also winch load information as well as motor temperature data. The HUB / AXON combo creates a truly state-of-the-art recovery system.

Easy to Install & Easy To Use

Warn Industries made the HUB Receiver easy to install and easy to use.

The fully potted and sealed, IP68 waterproof HUB Receiver is ready to be mounted on any tubular or flat surface using the included zip ties. The Receiver has a multi-color LED to indicate Receiver status for easy-to-see connectivity info. After mounting, users simply either plug the harness (with 6-ft. / 1.8m cord) into the winch's remote socket (or wire the Receiver to the winch in select powersports applications) and begin the intuitive pairing sequence on the smart device. The custom-developed, user-friendly App is available for both iOS and Android and can be found in the App Store or on Google Play.

Once pairing is complete, the smart device can now control the winch's power-in and power-out functions. A lock-out sequence prevents accidental power-ups. Large, easy-to-see buttons offer no delay in control. When a user taps the screen, the winch works instantaneously and stops pulling just as fast. The HUB Receiver and App are the latest examples of Warn Industries' commitment to innovation. With countless hours of research, design, engineering, and user feedback, the WARN HUB Receiver and App create a unique, modern approach to using a winch.

MSRP Pricing will be around $125, but you should be able to find the Warn HUB for $100 at your favorite 4x4 retailers.

When I read this th this morning I thought of our project last night. You could run the winch with the hood closed with this.

Warn has had wireless remote options for quite some time, in fact there are a few hanging on the wall just a few feet from that project. However, I would never send somebody Into the Woods without a physical hard wired remote.

I think of the Warn HUB as another option, a wired remote is always good to have handy but the HUB gives you more options without being tethered to the vehicle and winch. I've been fortunate enough to use the HUB myself and recovered my Jeep using it and the Warn app on my phone and found it to be very handy.

I've been using my Warn HUB with the Zeon 10S on my Gladiator and it's been super handy! I loaded up a Jeep frame and body, dragging it onto a trailer and was able to run the winch controls from 30' away, which made it easy to manipulate the load as it was pulled into place.
