Fixed the broken shaft from renting my Jeep out for WERock Cedar City… in April 🤣🤣🤣

Also replaced pinched brake line and leaking caliper that have been issues for a while. It’s amazing, right now it’s going, steering and stopping perfectly. Makes me nervous 😬

Still working on finding a ride. Attended a car show in Sunset yesterday. Nice little show where people hang by their cars and you get to talk to them about them.

Pretty cool ‘65 but on close inspection will need a LOT of sheet metal replacement. It’s a cool car and has a LOT going for it but it’s a beeg project. I’m not up for it.

I’ve always loved ‘65 Impala. This is done about how I’d do one. Boring but a super nice car to drive and even though they are big gals, with the right engine, they are no joke.

this Trans Am was very cool. Raised from the dead. The couple that owned it were awesome and told me all about it. Showed me a picture book of the restoration process. They love the car. Shot that pic to @lbryson so she could drool

I do hope to have a block party, maybe get it at least in a primer before it's too cold. We'll just see how it goes.

Took the ARB CKMA12 that I had mounted under the hood of the Trooper and built myself a mobile unit:

Nice! I did exactly the opposite a few months ago - I had a portable ARB compressor (CKMA12 that they bolt into a cheap plastic toolbox) that I made permanent under the hood of my '08 Cruiser. I liked that the portable had a nice little stand-alone harness and switch. It made for a nice tidy install.

I made a box.

To hold my little cast iron charcoal grill.

The grill is just big enough for two big steaks. It starts up fast, only takes maybe ten minutes from lighting the cubes to having the middle of the grate about 600 degrees. Box holds the grill, enough lump charcoal to fill the grill and then top it off again, charcoal starter cubes, gloves, pliers, charcoal rake etc. Pretty much everything I need except the steaks.

Offset smoker bomb...

cut it in half with the lightning scissors and cut the bungs out.

I decided it would be a little too small and I don't like the look of only one end rounded so I added part of the other side, got rid of the holes, and added a couple of lift tabs.

Next week I'll start on the stand.
