I’ve been taking about building a new dump trailer for a while now.. if that dump bed and hydraulics go unused, I’d love a shot at them.

The next few nights will be busy getting ready for Cruise Moab. I made some progress last night, but have a ton left to do.

I had a spare tcase rebuilt with 10% under-drive high range, 3:1 low range, a part-time 4wd kit, and new bearings and seals. I am also swapping brakes and doing a big brake kit developed by @cruiseroutfit and @I Lean . I am also replacing my rear calipers (stock replacements) and master cylinder from a T100. I got most of my parts from @cruiseroutfit at Cruiser Outfitters. They are definitely my 1st call for all my Toyota part needs!

For the front axle, I rebuilt it over the winter with new RCV axles and birfields, but I damage an axle seal when I assembled it. Knowing I would be getting back into the axle to do the part-time kit and abs sensor relocation, I left the damage seal in the axle housing. I will replace the seals again as part of this work.

Last night I made some good progress:

I unboxed my parts to make sure I had what I need and drilled the 6 lug bolt pattern into my new rotors:

I cleaned and painted my new to me hubs that were machined to accept the 200 series rotors. Thanks CarlFab @I Lean !

I enabled hover mode on the LC (removed the wheels and tires)

I tore into the passenger side front and realized I need shorter banjo bolts, likely from a 2010 4Runner to match the Calipers and replaced the axle seal that I damaged installing it in Nov/Dec (whenever I was in this axle last)

These RCV's are sexy even covered in grease...:)

I put the axle back in and stopped for the night.

Tonight I'll install the ABS relocation kit and then reassemble the passenger side to repeat these steps on the driver side. Then I can replace the rear calipers and Master Cylinder. Then Saturday I can swap transfercases. 37's are on tap for next week!

Some of you might remember me saying that I welded some small roundbar on the inner bead of my wheels and that now I can't get my tires off. I've even bent a nice raceline bead breaker trying to get the bead to break on these... lesson learned, maybe.

I've made the joke to those I've told about my idiocy that if I ever have to sell the tires and wheels I'm going to have to put "Can NOT separate" in the ad. X-D

Well I finally got the bead to break using what I'm going to coin as the Redneck Bead Brake. This method was painless and I've tried the high-lift jack under a receiver hitch method and all kinds of stupid scary things. 🤦‍♂️

Success! That weird discolored stuff is just caulking that I had to put on it to get the tires to air up and mount since I didn't run a full weld bead all the way around the wheel and the air would just rush under it.

I think it needs a severe sounding German name. "Guntinator".

I don't know what that means, but I know it needs to be respected.

Not a cure for cancer or anything, just some adjustable lowers for the rear steer “golf cart”.

I'm sure it's a "factory" part, but that node (or lack of) in the middle of that arm bugs me.
Ha! I hear ya... and they’re not stock at all. Even better is they’re not symmetrical if compared (see pic). 😂 I was pressed for time early in the build and had a buddy wanting to help, so I told him to fit/tack me some tubes in an “x”. Didn’t wanna crush his spirit, so here they be. These are most likely temporary, so meh.

It must be because you are formerly known as Vonski X. Since you dropped the X they must not have been intimidated enough to make it a perfect X.
