Where to get rid of old oil and antifreeze?

I've heard there are places that will take it... I've got a few gallons of each.

I know some of the checker stores have recycling for oil. as for antifreeze I just take mine out the the hazmat place at the dump.

mine goes down the toilet. i asked about ten people and they all told me to do so. two were at checker and autozone respectivly

most oil change places (jiffy Lube etc) are oil recycling centers and will take that stuff for you...as is some parts stores, it used to be all parts stores but I have noticed a lot have quit taaking the stuff...

Im SURE he is talking antifreeze, the bottle tells you it's ok. Wierd eh...

Checker Auto Parts recycles used oil for free.

The process at the sewage treatment plant takes care of antifreeze so put it in the toilet.

anti freeze isn't that toxic of a chemical. it is some kind of alcohol. it is a naturally occuring chemical that is refined and synthesized for anti-freeze. dont worry about flushing it, just dont run it down the storm drain, they often times go different places, one into the streams and one into the sewer plant and then into the streams.
