XJ rear leafspring bushing

I cut my exhaust pipe a few inches back to avoid bashing it off-road but when I installed the shackle boxes , it cooked the bushing on the leafspring. I'll be fixing that exhaust tip as well.
Does anyone know what size the hole is to replace the bushing ?
I have a box of polyurethane bushings for various rigs to use .

Also I've read the lip on polyurethane bushings wont work with the shackle and need to get the factory bushing pressed in.
How true is this ?

OEM springs I assume? If so, only the OEM rubber bushings or poly replacements specifically for OEM XJ springs will fit. The lip on the poly bushings may interfere, but the shackles would self-clearance them in short order, or you could just trim off where they hit with a utility knife.

First order of business though is to add some tailpipe so you're not doing this weekly...:p

I run some daystar poly bushings in mine and they fit just fine. Pretty sure I had to buy a kit that included the front leaf spring bushings as well, just to get the back ones but it’s been years. The concern of melting them is all but gone with poly as they’re much tougher
